Flacco upset with late PI call

Joe Flacco didn't agree with the offensive pass interference penalty called on Jacoby Jones late in the fourth quarter.

Just when it looked like the Ravens had put the game away with a touchdown from Joe Flacco to Jacoby Jones, a blue bean bag hit the turf.

It's something that confused Flacco, who was on his back just after letting go of the football. The official in the back of the end zone threw his blue bean bag onto the grass at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, maybe mistaking it for his yellow flag.

But the call upset Flacco, who spoke to reporters about it following Sunday's 24-23 loss.

"I might sound a little bit like a baby here but for them to make that call I think was a little crazy," Flacco said. "He didn't even throw a flag. He threw a blue beanie and then put his arms in the air like offensive pass interference. I mean, come on."

If the play was ruled a touchdown, the Ravens would have went ahead 27-17 with little hope for the Eagles to win. Instead, it forced the Ravens to kick a field goal two plays later, giving Baltimore a six-point lead.

Philadelphia then drove down the field and scored the game-winning touchdown off a Michael Vick 1-yard run.

Flacco felt the referees allowed the Eagles defensive backs to contact his receivers often. Flacco, who started 14-17 in the first half, finished the game 22-42 for 232 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

"They were all over our guys in not a very legal way sometimes," Flacco said.
