Mighty Casey strikes out

For the second consecutive year, nose tackle Casey Hampton struggled through the team's annual run test that kicks off training camp. Only this year, head coach Bill Cowher was a little more miffed about Hampton's failure than he was the year before.

"Casey's got a ways to go," said Cowher. "He's not where he needs to be, by his own addmission. That's disappointing, but that's the obstacle that he faces now."
