Steelers sign former QB
Head coach Bill Cowher said Quinn, who has played for four other teams than the Steelers, is still eligible for the practice squad because he's never been much more than a third quarterback in the NFL, having only seen playing time in four games.
Quinn has completed two of three NFL passes - two of which came in his rookie season with the Steelers - for 20 yards. He spent last season with the Houston Texans and went to camp this year with Denver before being cut in the preseason.
Cowher also said Tuesday that linebacker Kendrell Bell (groin), safety Mike Logan (hamstring), cornerback Chad Scott (groin) and running back Verron Haynes (hip pointer) are questionable to play this week against Miami.
