Pittsburgh Steelers Make Roster Moves
Scott was originally selected by the Steelers in the first round (24th overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft and had the second-longest tenure on the team. He played in 91 games with 88 starts and 19 interceptions during his Steelers career.
Riemersma, who originally signed with the Steelers March 19, 2003 as an unrestricted free agent from the Buffalo Bills, was a reserve tight end in 2004. He caught seven passes for 82 yards (11.7 avg.) and two touchdowns before suffering a season-ending Achilles' heel injury Dec. 5, 2004 at Jacksonville.
In two seasons with the Steelers, Riemersma made 17 receptions for 220 yards (12.9 avg.) and three touchdowns. He started all 11 games that he played in during his first season with the Steelers in 2003. Riemersma has caught 221 passes for 2,524 yards (11.4 avg.) and 23 touchdowns during his nine-year career. He was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round (244th overall) of the 1996 NFL Draft.
