Posted Jul 26, 2005

First-round draft pick Heath Miller signed a five-year contract with the Steelers on Tuesday. The 6-foot-5 tight end from the University of Virginia will report to training camp Sunday with the rest of the team.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Miller agreed to receive a $2.5 million signing bonus and a $1.45 roster bonus next March. The entire deal would pay Miller a total of $6.89 million over the five years, with the chance to earn $9.4 million in incentives.

The signing of Miller leaves second-round cornerback Bryant McFadden and third-round offensive lineman Trai Essex as the Steelers' only unsigned players.
