Ben Roethlisberger left Mercy Hospital at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, only 60 hours after busting up his face in a motorcycle accident outside the Armstrong Tunnels in downtown Pittsburgh. He'd undergone seven hours of surgery Monday afternoon.

One report indictated Ben Roethlisberger left through a side entrance with his sister Carlee, a doctor, and a representative of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It was a quick-thinking move for the bruised and swollen quarterback, who'd likely have faced a media crush on Thursday morning, after a report of his original plan had been published.
