The Steelers got fan favorite Isaac Redman back on the practice squad, but missed on defensive end Sonny Harris.

The Steelers put together a practice squad that includes running backs Isaac Redman and Justin Vincent, center A.Q. Shipley, nose tackle Steve McLendon, tight end Dezmond Sherrod, wide receiver Tyler Grisham and linebacker Donovan Woods.

Missing from the list is sixth-round pick Sonny Harris, the defensive end whom line coach John Mitchell, on draft day, said was headed for the practice squad.

Harris was only a one-year starter at Oregon, and thus came to the Steelers as a raw prospect. However, he flashed his potential in preseason games and the Carolina Panthers liked what they saw in the finale, when Harris had a sack. The Panthers claimed him on waivers.

The Steelers have one opening remaining on the practice squad.

The Steelers also announced three number changes: Stefan Logan is 11, Joe Burnett is 27, and Shaun McDonald is 81.

The team's captains this season are Hines Ward and Ben Roethlisberger on offense, James Harrison and James Farrior on defense, and Jeff Reed and Keyaron Fox on special teams.
