| Jeb Putzier’s athletic ability and physical qualities have provided this young veteran the opportunity to become one of the better tight-ends in the game. Combining speed, quickness, size, and attitude, Putzier has quickly become a viable and legitimate target. Athletic enough to also line-up as an H-back, this versatility coupled with solid receiving skills make Putzier a threat anywhere on the field. With better than average speed, he can get downfield, but has defined his recognition process and often provides the quarterback with a solid look in the zones and seams. Catches the ball extremely well and effortlessly and will make the tough reception across the middle in coverage. Strong enough to fight through press coverage, Putzier is a valuable asset for a team looking for a legitimate pass catching option from the tight-end position. His blocking skill are improving and will not embarrass himself in either pass or run blocking, but is far from a polished product in the blocking sense. |
