Biography:
Travis Kirschke was signed by the Steelers in March 2004. He played the previous season in San Franscisco and had his career-best season that year with 43 tackles, leading the teams' defensive linemen, and 1.5 sacks, over 15 starts.

Kirschke's NFL career started as a 1997 undrafted rookie (UCLA) in Detroit. He played six seasons there before moving on to San Fransciso for one season. Over his 7 seasons prior to signing with the Steelers, Kirschke recorded 25 starts, 114 tackles, and 4 sacks.
