| Biography: |
| Bironas was a member of the Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League in 2004 prior to signing with the Steelers in June 2004 as a free agent. He ranked third on the team with 121 points. The 26-year-old Bironas converted 17-of-40 field-goal attempts and 70-of-80 extra points in his only season with the Cobras.
Bironas' college career started at Auburn in 1996; in 2000 he transferred to Georgia Southern for his senior season and a NCAA Division I-AA National Championship. He was a 1998 finalist for the Lou Groza Award. |
