Terrence Kiel was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft, 62nd overall.
College
Member of the Aggies' "Wrecking Crew," leading the team in tackles the last two years … The strong, physical defender excels in run support, giving the team an additional linebacker-type in the box while playing safety … Finished his career with 254 tackles (179 solos), 2 sacks, 8 stops behind the line of scrimmage, 8 interceptions, 13 pass deflections and a forced fumble while starting 30 of 45 games in his four years with the varsity.
Started his senior year at strong safety, leading the team for the second straight year with a career-high 96 tackles (63 solos), including 1½ sacks for minus-17 yards and 4 stops for losses of 28 yards … Deflected 6 passes and intercepted 3 others for 19 yards in returns … Caused a fumble and had a quarterback pressure. |
