Although a fullback most of his career at Georgia, Verron was impressive as a tailback when called upon to play the role late in his senior year, with 4 straight 100-yard games. At Georgia he was known for picking up the blitz well and his great form and anticipation when run-blocking. He was selected to the Super Sleeper Team and All-Southeastern Conference second-team by The National Sports Bureau.
